Hello ... I am Chantal
Hello, I’m so glad you have found me.
I was born in South Africa and now live on the outskirts of Crawley, West Sussex with my husband, our two daughters, and our two dogs. Family life has always been at the heart of who I am.
Before settling in the UK, I spent two years in Houston, Texas, working as an au pair for a lovely family with three young children. It was during this time that I truly discovered my passion for nurturing and supporting others through the early stages of family life.
I moved to England in 1995, and not long after, I met my husband. We married in 1998 and went on to have our daughters in 2000 and 2003. I was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mum during those early years, experiencing first hand the highs and lows that come with raising little ones. It was a time filled with learning, growth, and deep love.
As our daughters grew into young adults, I felt a strong calling to support others. This led me to pursue further training and offer practical and emotional support to families during the antenatal period, birth and the postpartum period.
I understand how transformative—and at times overwhelming—these periods of our lives can be. My goal is to provide calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental care, helping you feel supported, confident, and nurtured as you work towards welcoming your new born into your family.

- I had positive pregnancies and births with the knowledge I had at the time. Since then, I have found birth very interesting and I have learned so much through my research, working with professionals, and supporting pregnant people, experiencing birth alongside them. Knowledge is power and I fully embrace people’s choice of where they choose to birth their baby. I listen and provide relative research, so you feel informed and empowered when making your birth decisions.
- In 2015 I joined a friend and supported her with setting up a ‘Hub’ for parents, which involved support for new parents and various activities for their children.
- It was at this stage that I started retraining, and gaining the skills in supporting families.
- Firstly, I trained as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and have been an active Peer Supporter since 2018.
I then went on to do my Birth and Postnatal Doula training in 2019 along with becoming a Hypnobirthing Instructor in the same year. In 2020 I did a Biomechanics Workshop, gaining knowledge regarding the pelvis and how different techniques may assist labour. In 2024 I started learning about deTORRA essential oils, and have started using them within my family and when supporting pregnancy and birth. I have also trained in their AromaTOUCH massage which I offer to clients.
Having all these skills helps with supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Each client I work with, needs less or enhanced support in different areas, so by having my experience and ongoing learning, I’m able to meet your needs.
With my daughters being grown up and independent, I’m able to ensure my commitment to you, providing continuity of care and establishing a relationship where you feel secure and heard.
